PLANS OF NEW PAGASA OFFICE TAKING SHAPE

Planning & designing by CAD Master and PAGASA Treasurer Myke Teodoro continues for PAGASA's future office at William Villanueva's place. In the morning of 11 March 2025, STC and Myke paid William another visit to visualize the digital plans designed by Myke and to take measurements accordingly as space provided by William has expanded tremendously. This 85 sq.m. new office will now include William's office and house his I.T. Company> Wave Technologies. Thanks to the generosity of William and Myke, PAGASA's new office is taking shape!

COCKTAILS AT CANADA'S OFFICIAL RESIDENCE

On the eve of 3 March 2025, STC was invited by the Canadian Embassy to the Ambassador's Residence. This came after that function last December where STC was requested to act as a panelist at a programme organized for the biggest delegation of visiting investors from Canada.

PAGASA TO GET A NEW OFFICE

The quest to transfer & construct a new Office commences in the morning of 27 February 2025 with a visit from PAGASA Treasurer Myke Teodoro (an avid fan of interior designing) to the current Office and later to the building of PAGASA Members William & Gloria Villanueva just some two blocks away. This couple has generously donated floor space on the 3/F of their building for PAGASA to construct an office.

WEBINAR ON SOLO PARENT ACT

DTI's CPAB gave a webinar in the morning of 26 February 2025. Handled by DTI's Francis Llado. It was assisted by Resource People Ron Uy of the BIR and DOH's Luz Tagunicar. Salient features of the Solo Parent Act: 1. Solo parents are mothers or fathers who raise their kids (6 years old & below) alone & earn an annual income below P250k. Card expires once these two conditions are not met. 2. The LGUs together with their DSWD counterpart screens these applicants. 3. They are issued IDs & handed a booklet to record purchases. 4. For supermarket items, SPs are entitled to a 10% discount on children's dietetic/milk & disposable diapers after deducting VAT. Expense is shouldered by the merchant. 5. There exist no limit for weekly or bi-monthly purchases! 6. There is no need to form an SP Lane specifically for them. They may use the SC or PWD Lane as well.

 
BOARD MEETING REGARDING TRANSFER OF OFFICE

PAGASA Board Members held an Emergency Meeting in the eve of 25 February 2025 at Shang Plaza's UCC Mentorè. Meet was to discuss & decide on where to transfer PAGASA Office in view of STC's leaving the premises of Welcome Supermart, QC. Other Board Members had given their two-cents' worth earlier since they couldn't attend this Meeting.

PAGASA was invited on 10 February 2025 to attend an Indian-Philippine function at Dusit Thani where a delegation from the Federation of Indian Exporters Organization (FIEO) exhibited their products meant for the Philippine market. ANOTHER PAGASA FOUNDER CROSSES OVER

PAGASA founding member Mina Catungal of V&M Superette passed on 7 February 2025. To this day, her store in Baclaran is an inspiration in resilience. She is now represented at PAGASA by sons Hubert, Albert & Jun Caoile. Photo shows her with Hubert. Mina figured in a vehicular accident in the 90's that left her totally blind since. Their store was immediately closed down on 10 February 2025 following her demise as it had no surviving operator.
